The Course
Port Kembla Golf Club is an 18 hole par 72 championship golf course, located in the Illawarra region. Perfectly maintained all year round, Port Kembla Golf Course is a challenging blend of tree lined fairways and strategic water carries which are sure to excite any golfer.
Warm up on the driving range, practice chipping and putting on the practice green or fine tune your swing with a golf lesson from our resident PGA Professional Golf Coach, Adam Chivers. In 2020, Port Kembla Golf Club engaged the services of Australian Professional golfer Craig Parry to provide a report with recommendations on changes to the golf course. This helped in increasing the enjoyment and improve playability, as well as reducing maintenance tasks. The Club’s main aim was to modify the golf course to reduce the difficulty for higher handicappers, without affecting our lower handicappers or compromising the integrity of the course design. Craig Parry’s report provided 30 recommendations on improvements, which mainly covered reshaping of specific fairways and the reshaping and/or removal of specific bunkers.
